Lotte is one of the most trusted brands in Asian home entertainment. The "Lotte Magic Forest" will be located in Osiria district of Busan, adjacent to the company's existing Lotte Shopping Mall in East Busan. A number of other attractions will be built in the nearby area, including Luge on the hillside and an expanded retail shopping centre.
The Lotte Magic Forest immerses guests in the charm and wonder of the magical garden environment. The new park will feature six theme areas, each inspired by different natural elements. The attractions of rakuten magic Forest include numerous family rides and attractions, roller coasters, a friendly conversation tree in the heart of the theme park, a giant animated coo-goo bell at the entrance, mascot performances dressed as Rakuten characters, and a beautiful castle that looks like a fairy tale.
The first phase of the project, covering more than 100,000 square meters, will feature more than a dozen family rides and attractions, and will be based on two iconic roller coaster experiences. The park's design will be completely different from the operator's iconic Seoul flagship Lotte World theme park -- and from any other theme park in Asia -- and will be guided by the idea of creating Asia's first European-style theme park.
Lotte revealed details of the development of the "Lotte Magic Forest" as early as 2018, and construction began in early 2019. It is expected to open in Busan, South Korea, in mid-2021.
